DTV Financial Evidence: Preparing Statements Without Confusing Fees and Funds

DTV financial evidence shows the resources required for the application. It is a separate question from the visa fee and any private assistance fee.

Know what the published figure represents

The official DTV information identifies financial evidence of at least 500,000 baht. That figure is not a government application charge. Check the responsible mission’s current requirements for currency, statement period, account ownership and acceptable evidence.

Ask for the right records

Use official statements where required and check that your name, account details, dates and balances are readable. If your records are in another language, confirm the translation instructions before paying for translation. Do not assume a cropped banking-app image will be accepted.

Prepare an explanation for the file you have

If the statement includes several currencies, a joint account or unusual recent activity, ask the mission what evidence it needs. Avoid rearranging records to hide information. An accurate explanation is more useful than a file that appears inconsistent.

Keep calculations traceable

Where a currency comparison is needed, record the date and method used and follow any mission-specific conversion instruction. Leave the original statement values visible. Your personal conversion worksheet should not be presented as a bank-issued record.

Separate the three budget lines

  • Financial resources evidenced for eligibility.
  • The visa fee charged by the responsible mission.
  • Optional provider or document-preparation charges.

This separation helps you compare service quotes and prevents the mistaken belief that paying an agency charge satisfies the financial-evidence requirement.

Frequently asked questions

Is 500,000 baht the price of the DTV?

No. It is the financial-evidence figure in the official DTV framework; application fees are separate.

Will any account statement be accepted?

Confirm the responsible mission’s document and ownership requirements. Do not assume another applicant’s format applies to your case.
